WPBay aims to provide a marketplace that can be used by as many people as possible, including people with visual, hearing, physical, speech, cognitive, and neurological disabilities.

Accessibility is considered within our design, development, content, and support work. We treat it as an ongoing process rather than a one-time certification, particularly as WPBay continues to add new marketplace, checkout, licensing, account, and seller features.

This information applies to the website and services controlled by WPBay at https://wpbay.com.

Description of the WPBay service

WPBay is an online marketplace for WordPress plugins, themes, services, and related digital products.

Visitors can browse and search products, read product information, compare available options, and contact sellers. Registered users can purchase products, manage orders and subscriptions, access downloads and licence information, receive updates, and request support.

Sellers can create and manage product listings, submit products for review, communicate with customers, and manage marketplace activity through their accounts.

Some parts of the purchasing, authentication, payment, or support process may use components supplied by third-party service providers.

Our accessibility approach

WPBay uses the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines WCAG 2.2 at Level AA as its practical accessibility target.

Where applicable, we also consider the European Accessibility Act, Directive (EU) 2019/882, EN 301 549, and Romania’s Law no. 232/2022 concerning accessibility requirements for products and services.

These references help guide our work, but mentioning them does not constitute a formal certification or an unconditional claim that every WPBay page and feature fully conforms.

Our accessibility work focuses on understandable page structures, keyboard navigation, visible focus indicators, sufficient colour contrast, meaningful links and headings, text alternatives for informative images, labelled form controls, understandable validation messages, responsive layouts, text resizing, and compatibility with commonly used assistive technologies.

We also consider accessibility when changing checkout, account, authentication, payment, download, and product-submission processes.

Current conformance status

WPBay has not yet completed a comprehensive independent WCAG 2.2 Level AA audit covering every page, account area, user role, and purchasing process.

We therefore do not currently claim complete WCAG 2.2 conformance or formal accessibility certification.

Many accessibility practices are incorporated into WPBay, but some content, components, or user journeys may not yet consistently meet our target. We continue to review reported barriers and make improvements as the platform develops.

Areas outside WPBay’s direct control

WPBay contains descriptions, images, videos, documentation, demos, and downloadable products supplied by independent sellers. The accessibility of this material can vary.

External product demonstrations, seller websites, documentation hosted elsewhere, and the functionality of downloaded plugins or themes are not controlled by WPBay and are not covered by a conformance claim relating to the WPBay marketplace.

WPBay does not independently certify that every product sold through the marketplace is accessible. Sellers remain responsible for the accuracy of accessibility claims made about their products and for complying with any accessibility laws that apply to them.

Where sellers provide information about the accessibility characteristics of their products or services, they should present it clearly in the product description or documentation. WPBay may request corrections where accessibility information appears inaccurate or misleading.

Some WPBay functions also depend on third-party components, including payment, security, authentication, media, and communication services. We cannot guarantee how every external component will operate with every browser or assistive technology, but we welcome reports about barriers encountered during these processes.

Older and archived content

Some articles, images, videos, documents, or product information published before our current accessibility practices were adopted may not meet the same standard as newer content.

When older material is substantially updated, we aim to review its accessibility as part of that work. We may prioritise content according to its importance, usage, and impact on a user’s ability to browse, purchase, manage an account, or obtain support.

Accessibility feedback and assistance

If you encounter an accessibility barrier while using WPBay, contact us at support@wpbay.com with the subject:

Accessibility feedback

Please tell us which page or feature caused the problem, what you were trying to do, and what happened. If possible, include the page URL, your browser and device, and the assistive technology you were using.

You do not need to disclose medical information or provide proof of a disability.

If an accessibility barrier prevents you from finding information, completing a purchase, accessing a download, managing your account, submitting a product, or contacting a seller, let us know. We will make reasonable efforts to provide the information or assistance through an appropriate alternative method.

You may also request that information from this page be provided or explained in another accessible format.

We review accessibility feedback and aim to respond within a reasonable timeframe, taking into account the nature and complexity of the reported issue.

How we handle reported barriers

When we receive an accessibility report, we may reproduce the issue, request additional technical details, assess its impact, and determine whether it originates from WPBay, seller-provided content, or an external service.

Issues that prevent access to essential marketplace functions, including authentication, checkout, payment, downloads, account management, or customer support, may receive higher priority.

Not every issue can be corrected immediately. Where a permanent correction requires more time, we will consider whether a reasonable temporary alternative can be offered.

Competent authority

Where Romania’s Law no. 232/2022 applies to an e-commerce service, the competent Romanian authority for supervising the relevant digital accessibility requirements is the Authority for the Digitalisation of Romania.

We encourage users to contact WPBay first so that we have an opportunity to investigate and address the reported barrier.

Ongoing review

Accessibility requirements, standards, assistive technologies, and the WPBay platform continue to evolve. We may update this information after material platform changes, accessibility reviews, changes in applicable law, or feedback from users.

Feedback from people who encounter real accessibility barriers is an important part of this work and helps us decide where improvements are most needed.
