Summary: You may refer to WPBay truthfully, link to WPBay listings and use promotional assets that WPBay has provided or approved. You must not use the WPBay name, logo or branding in a way that suggests your business, product, website or application is owned, operated, certified or officially endorsed by WPBay.
What this policy covers
This policy applies to the WPBay name and other identifiers associated with WPBay, including:
- the WPBay logo and icon;
- stylized versions of the WPBay name;
- official badges and status labels;
- slogans and promotional graphics;
- the visual appearance of official WPBay services;
- confusingly similar names, logos or designs; and
- future brand assets introduced by WPBay.
Together, these are referred to as the “WPBay Marks.”
The WPBay Marks are owned or controlled by CODE IKIGAI SRL, the operator of WPBay. Third-party names and logos appearing on WPBay remain the property of their respective owners.
This policy applies to sellers, buyers, affiliates, API developers, service providers, journalists, reviewers, community members and anyone else referring to WPBay.
Factual references to WPBay
You may use the WPBay name in normal text when making an accurate factual statement.
Acceptable examples include:
- “Our plugin is available on WPBay.”
- “We sell WordPress products through WPBay.”
- “Payments for this product are handled through WPBay.”
- “This application connects to the WPBay API.”
- “I purchased this theme from WPBay.”
- “Read our independent review of WPBay.”
The statement must be current, truthful and presented in a way that does not imply sponsorship, ownership, certification or endorsement.
Being a WPBay seller does not make you an employee, representative, partner or agent of WPBay. Do not describe yourself as an “official WPBay partner,” “WPBay representative” or similar unless WPBay has granted that status in writing.
Promoting your WPBay listing
Sellers may promote their WPBay listings through their own websites, documentation, newsletters, advertisements and social media accounts.
You may:
- link directly to your WPBay product, service or seller page;
- state that your product is sold or licensed through WPBay;
- use an official “Available on WPBay” graphic provided or approved by WPBay;
- refer customers to WPBay for checkout, licensing or account management; and
- accurately describe a current WPBay feature, campaign or seller status.
Your own product and company branding must remain more prominent than the WPBay branding. The presentation should make it clear that you are the independent creator or service provider and that WPBay operates the marketplace.
Approval of a listing does not mean that WPBay has certified the product’s security, quality, legal compliance or fitness for a particular purpose.
Using the WPBay logo
The WPBay logo may be used only when:
- WPBay has provided or approved the asset for that purpose;
- the logo is used to identify or link to WPBay;
- the use is secondary to your own branding;
- sufficient space is left around the logo;
- the logo remains clearly visible and legible; and
- the surrounding material does not imply an association that does not exist.
Do not:
- recolour, distort, rotate, crop or redraw the logo;
- change its proportions or typography;
- combine it with another logo;
- add effects, animation or decorative elements;
- use part of the logo as your own icon;
- recreate it using generative AI or another design tool;
- use it as your product icon, company logo, avatar or favicon;
- use it as the dominant element of a product image;
- place it inside another badge or certification seal; or
- use an outdated logo after WPBay asks you to replace it.
Do not copy a logo directly from the WPBay website when an official asset is available. Contact WPBay if you need a suitable file.
Badges, seller status and marketplace recognition
Only WPBay may create official WPBay badges.
You must not create or use badges claiming:
- WPBay Approved;
- WPBay Certified;
- WPBay Secure;
- Official WPBay Partner;
- Verified by WPBay;
- Top WPBay Product;
- WPBay Recommended; or
- another endorsement or certification that WPBay has not issued.
If WPBay provides a badge, you may use it only for the seller, product, period and purpose for which it was issued. You must remove it when the relevant status expires or when WPBay requests its removal.
Historical statements must include enough context to remain accurate. For example, “Featured on WPBay in July 2026” may be acceptable if it is true. An undated “Featured on WPBay” claim may become misleading after the feature period ends.
Domains, social accounts and business names
You must not register or use the WPBay name, a misspelling of it or a confusingly similar term as part of:
- a domain or subdomain;
- a company or trading name;
- a social media username;
- an email address;
- a marketplace account;
- a support portal;
- a forum or community name; or
- another public identity
without prior written permission from WPBay.
Examples that are not permitted include:
wpbay-deals.example;wpbay-support.example;officialwpbayproducts.example;@wpbayhelp;- “WPBay Sellers Association”; or
- “WPBay Support Center.”
Using the name in a normal page path is generally acceptable when the page is clearly independent, such as:
example.com/reviews/wpbay
You must not register domains or accounts that could be used for phishing, fake support, misleading coupons, impersonation or redirecting visitors who are looking for the official WPBay website.
Product, plugin and application names
The WPBay name must not become the primary identity of an independent product, plugin, service, application or browser extension without written permission.
An independent name followed by a factual compatibility statement is normally acceptable.
For example:
- “MarketSync – Integration for WPBay”
- “SellerMetrics – Analytics Tool Compatible with WPBay”
- “Acme Licensing Assistant for WPBay Sellers”
Names that could appear official are not permitted, including:
- “WPBay Sync Pro”
- “WPBay Marketplace App”
- “WPBay Seller Dashboard”
- “Official WPBay Connector”
- “WPBay Support Plugin”
The same rule applies to WordPress plugin slugs, package names, app store listings, browser extension names and repository names.
Applications using the WPBay API
Developers may build independent applications using the WPBay API, subject to the WPBay API Service Terms and Conditions.
An independent application may state that it:
- uses the WPBay API;
- connects to WPBay;
- imports information from WPBay; or
- helps users manage their own WPBay data.
The application’s own name and branding must remain primary. Unless WPBay has authorized the application, its website and description should include a clear statement such as:
This is an independently developed application and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or operated by WPBay.
API access does not grant permission to:
- use the WPBay logo as the application icon;
- copy the WPBay interface or visual identity;
- describe the application as official;
- present third-party support as WPBay support;
- use WPBay customer information beyond the authorized purpose; or
- register a product or domain name built around the WPBay name.
Affiliates
Approved affiliates may use promotional assets supplied through the WPBay Affiliate Program.
Affiliate materials must:
- link to the correct WPBay page;
- remain accurate and current;
- clearly disclose the affiliate relationship where required;
- use the supplied asset without unauthorized changes; and
- comply with WPBay’s promotional and affiliate rules.
Affiliate status does not authorize you to create an “official” WPBay website, support channel, social account or application.
Without written approval, affiliates must not:
- bid on the WPBay name in paid search campaigns;
- use WPBay in a display URL or advertising identity;
- create fake WPBay coupon or discount websites;
- impersonate WPBay in advertisements;
- use a domain containing the WPBay name;
- present themselves as WPBay staff; or
- use WPBay branding to promote unrelated products.
Reviews, tutorials and editorial coverage
You may use the WPBay name in genuine reviews, tutorials, comparisons, news articles and commentary.
An unmodified official logo may be used as a secondary illustration where it is reasonably necessary to identify WPBay and the publication is clearly independent.
Screenshots of the public WPBay interface may be used when relevant to a review or tutorial. Before publishing a screenshot, remove or obscure:
- personal information;
- private messages;
- customer information;
- purchase codes;
- licence keys;
- payment information;
- private seller statistics; and
- non-public administrative content.
Do not manipulate a screenshot in a way that falsely represents WPBay’s interface, prices, policies or communications.
This policy does not prevent criticism, comparison, news reporting, parody or another use permitted by applicable law. Such use must still not falsely suggest that WPBay created, approved or endorsed the content.
Community websites, groups and events
Independent communities may discuss WPBay, but their own identity must remain clearly separate.
A community may describe itself as:
An independent community for developers who sell through WPBay.
It must not describe itself as:
The official WPBay seller community.
Do not use the WPBay logo as a community avatar, group icon or event logo without written permission. Do not name an event, webinar, course or conference in a way that suggests WPBay organizes or sponsors it.
If WPBay has agreed to sponsor or participate in an event, use only the wording and assets approved for that event.
Support, documentation and licensing screens
Sellers may refer to WPBay where necessary to explain:
- where a product was purchased;
- how to find a purchase code;
- how licence activation works;
- where subscription billing is managed; or
- how to access a WPBay customer account.
Acceptable wording includes:
Enter the purchase code provided in your WPBay account.
or:
This licence is validated through WPBay.
Do not design a support page or licensing screen so that customers could reasonably believe it is operated by WPBay.
Do not use the WPBay logo as your plugin’s admin menu icon, primary settings-page branding or product logo.
Advertising and search marketing
You may refer to WPBay in organic content when the reference is accurate and relevant.
You must not use the WPBay name, logo or confusing variations to:
- intercept people searching for official WPBay support;
- promote fake downloads, licences or coupons;
- make an advertisement appear to come from WPBay;
- attract traffic to an unrelated product;
- place misleading keywords in hidden metadata;
- imitate an official WPBay search result; or
- distribute malware, modified products or unauthorized downloads.
Paid advertising focused primarily on the WPBay name requires prior written approval.
Merchandise and downloadable assets
The WPBay Marks must not be used on merchandise, templates, stock graphics, downloadable logo packs, NFTs or other products offered for sale or distribution without written permission.
You must not include WPBay logo files in a downloadable product merely as sample content or decoration.
An approved functional badge or integration asset may be included only under the conditions provided by WPBay.
Statements that imply endorsement
Do not claim or imply that WPBay:
- developed your product;
- guarantees your product or service;
- provides its technical support;
- certified its code or security;
- approved claims made in your advertising;
- is your employer, agent or business partner;
- recommends your product over competing listings; or
- accepts responsibility for your independent website or application.
The fact that WPBay reviewed and accepted a marketplace submission does not authorize these claims.

Requesting permission
For a use not clearly covered by this policy, contact:
Email: support@wpbay.com
Include:
- your name and business;
- the exact WPBay Mark you want to use;
- where and how it will appear;
- a mockup or draft where possible;
- the intended audience;
- the duration of the proposed use; and
- whether the use is commercial.
Permission must be provided in writing. Permission for one project does not authorize use in another project and may be withdrawn if the use becomes misleading, outdated or harmful.
Reporting misuse
To report suspected misuse of the WPBay name or branding, email support@wpbay.com with the subject line:
WPBay Brand Misuse
Include the relevant URL, account name, screenshots and a short explanation of the issue.
For complaints concerning a seller’s use of another company’s trademark, review the Trademark and Real-World Product Rules for WPBay Sellers.
Enforcement
WPBay may ask a person or business to correct, update or stop an unauthorized use of the WPBay Marks.
Depending on the circumstances, WPBay may also:
- remove marketplace content;
- withdraw access to promotional assets;
- restrict affiliate or API access;
- reverse commissions connected to deceptive promotion;
- suspend a listing or account;
- report an impersonating account or domain to the relevant provider; or
- take other appropriate action to protect customers and the WPBay brand.
Failure to act immediately against one unauthorized use does not mean that WPBay has approved that use or waived any rights.
Nothing in this policy transfers ownership of a WPBay Mark or grants a broader licence than the limited use expressly described above.
