How can we help?
Whether you need help with your WPBay account, an order, a download, or a product you purchased, this page will help you get your question to the right person.
How support works on WPBay
WPBay is a marketplace where independent developers and creators offer WordPress plugins, themes, scripts, services and other digital products. WPBay operates the marketplace and purchasing platform, while sellers remain responsible for developing and supporting their individual products.
This separation helps get technical questions to the people who know the product best.
If, for example, you purchased a plugin and need help configuring one of its features, the plugin developer will usually be able to provide a much more accurate answer than the WPBay marketplace team.
On the other hand, if you purchased that plugin but cannot access the download from your WPBay account, that is a marketplace issue and you should contact WPBay directly.
If you genuinely cannot determine whether the problem belongs to WPBay or the product seller, contact us at support@wpbay.com. We can help point you in the right direction.
When to contact WPBay
The WPBay team can help with issues involving your relationship with the marketplace itself.
Email the WPBay team at support@wpbay.com.
When to contact the product seller
Each product on WPBay is created and maintained by its seller. For technical questions about that specific product, the seller is usually the fastest and most knowledgeable source of support.
This includes questions about installation, configuration, how a feature is supposed to work, bugs, product compatibility and requests for product improvements.
For example, if a plugin produces an error after you enable a particular option, contact the plugin developer. If a theme layout behaves differently from its documentation, contact the theme developer. If a script requires help with its documented installation process, contact the script seller.
Where can I find the seller’s support information?
Start with the product page and the documentation supplied with your purchase. Sellers may provide a support email address, support website, documentation portal, help desk or another support channel depending on the product.
Use the support method specified by the seller whenever possible. This helps the seller identify your product and keeps technical discussions in the place where they can be handled most effectively.
If you cannot find the seller’s support details or have made a reasonable attempt to contact them but cannot get help, contact WPBay Support. Include the product name and your order information so we can understand the situation.
Help us help you faster
Whether you contact WPBay or a product seller, a little context can save several messages back and forth.
For WPBay marketplace issues
When relevant, include:
- The email address associated with your WPBay account
- The product or order involved
- A short explanation of what you expected to happen
- What happened instead
- Any error message you received
- A screenshot if it helps explain the problem
For technical product support
The exact information needed depends on the product, but it is often useful to tell the seller which product version you are using, the relevant WordPress or software version, what you were trying to do and the exact error or unexpected behavior you encountered.
If you can reproduce the problem consistently, describe the steps. “The plugin doesn’t work” is difficult to investigate; “saving this setting produces this error after these three steps” gives the developer somewhere useful to start.
Do not post passwords, API keys, private tokens, payment details or other sensitive credentials in public product discussions. If temporary website or server access is required for technical support, follow the seller’s secure support procedure and use temporary or limited-access credentials whenever possible.
What WPBay can and cannot troubleshoot
WPBay wants customers to have a good experience with products purchased through the marketplace, but the WPBay support team does not develop or maintain every product listed by independent sellers.
Because of this, we normally cannot diagnose the internal code of an individual seller’s plugin, determine why a particular theme option behaves a certain way, customize a third-party script for you, or provide authoritative instructions for functionality controlled entirely by the seller.
Those questions need to reach the product developer.
WPBay can, however, help with marketplace-related issues and with situations where the normal support path is not working as expected.
Our goal is not to send customers back and forth. It is to get each problem to the person who is actually in a position to resolve it.
For sellers
If you sell products on WPBay, support is part of the customer experience associated with your product.
Make your support contact information easy to find. Keep your documentation current, especially when an update changes the installation or configuration process, and explain important compatibility requirements before customers purchase.
When a buyer reports a problem, try to distinguish between a genuine product defect, an environment-specific compatibility problem, a configuration question and a request for custom work. Clear communication about what your support includes helps prevent misunderstandings for both sides.
If a customer contacts WPBay about an issue that is clearly product-specific, we may direct them to the support channel you provide for that product.
Still not sure where your question belongs?
Send us a message at support@wpbay.com and briefly explain what you need help with.
If the issue is something the product developer needs to investigate, we will point you toward the appropriate support route.
Thank you for using WPBay.
