Yes — updates are still checked in the background, but won’t appear in the admin or run automatically.
❌ Can I Disable Plugin Update Manager itself?
No, the plugin cannot disable itself to avoid self-lockout or update issues.
🔄 What happens if I deactivate Plugin Update Manager?
All plugins will resume normal update behavior. Disable settings are safely stored in the database and restored if the plugin is reactivated.
📤 Can I export or import freeze settings?
Not yet — but this feature is planned for a future release.
🏢 Is this plugin multisite compatible?
Currently, no. It works on single-site installations only. Multisite support is on the roadmap.
