🔧 Getting Started

  1. Upload & activate via Plugins → Add New in WordPress.
  2. Open Maps → Settings in your WP admin menu.
  3. Add your Google Maps API key (see below).
  4. Create your first map and add locations/businesses.
  5. Copy and use the map shortcode anywhere!

🔑 Google Maps API Key

You need a Google Maps API key to display maps.

  1. Go to Google Cloud Console and enable Maps JavaScript API.
  2. Generate your API key and paste it in plugin settings.

🗺️ Create & Manage Maps

  1. Go to Maps → Add New in WP Admin.
  2. Enter a map title and add businesses (with name, coordinates, phone, details, custom icon, store image).
  3. Customize map style, sidebar, details, and more.
  4. Click Publish to save your map.

🧩 Shortcode Usage

Display any map with:
<code>[store-locator-map id="123"]</code>
  • Replace id with your map’s real ID (see Maps list).
  • Embed on pages, posts, widgets, any editor (Gutenberg, Elementor, etc).

📝 Notes & Tips

  • Use unique PNG icons for each pin (or select from built-in).
  • Upload a store image for every business location.
  • Add unlimited locations to any map.
  • Shortcode works everywhere — pages, posts, widgets, builders.
  • Test API key after saving in settings for maps to appear.

🛠️ Troubleshooting

Map Not Loading?
  • Check your API key and billing status in Google Cloud Console.
  • Clear plugin/browser cache.
  • Ensure Maps JavaScript API is enabled.
Custom Pin/Image Not Showing?
  • Make sure image URLs are correct and accessible.
  • Use transparent PNGs for best results.
