YetiAware adds the responsible play tools customers and regulators expect to any WooCommerce competition, raffle or prize draw site. Customers can set spend limits, take a break or self-exclude from their own account, and every change is logged with a full audit trail. YetiAware is built around common UK safer gambling practice: anything that makes a customer safer applies instantly, and anything that loosens their protection needs an emailed confirmation and a waiting period first. That protects customers from impulse decisions and from anyone else who gets access to their account.

Key Features

Spend Limits – Customers set their own daily, weekly and monthly spending limits. Purchases that would go over a limit (counted after coupon discounts) are blocked in the cart, at checkout (classic and block) and on the pay for order page.
Safe Limit Changes – Lowering a limit applies instantly. Raising or removing one needs an emailed confirmation plus a waiting period, so an impulse or someone else on the account can’t undo it.
Cooling-off Periods – Customers can pause purchasing for 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days. Once started it can’t be cancelled early.
Self-Exclusion – Block purchasing for 6 months, 1 year, 5 years or permanently. Ending it after the minimum term needs email confirmation and a reflection period.
18+ Checkout Confirmation – Required age and terms checkbox at checkout with your own wording. Confirmation is saved against every order.
No Guest Loophole – While YetiAware is enabled, guest checkout is switched off, so customers must log in or create an account to buy. A restricted customer can’t log out and check out as a guest with the same email.
My Account Integration – A Responsible Gaming tab where customers manage limits and breaks, see what they’ve spent this period and view their full history.
Responsible Gaming Page – Ready-made information page with tips, warning signs and UK support organisations, created automatically on activation.
Admin Customer Lookup – Search any customer to see their current restriction, limits, break history and audit log.
Admin Override – End a restriction when genuinely needed, with a mandatory reason that’s logged and emailed to the customer.
Full Audit Trail – Every change is recorded with date, time and who made it, plus the IP address where available.
Email Notifications – Customers are emailed for every change, with your support contact included.
Configurable Rules – Set the waiting periods, the order statuses that count as spend, and your own checkout wording.
YetiRaffles Ready – Spending paid with YetiRaffles wallet credit counts towards limits, so credit can’t be used to get around them.
Yeti Auctions Ready – Bids from customers on a break are refused, and so are bids whose maximum could take them over a spend limit.
Native WooCommerce Integration – Works with any WooCommerce store. Supports HPOS and the Blocks checkout.

How It Works

Tightening is instant – setting a first limit, lowering a limit, starting a cooling-off period or self-excluding all take effect immediately
Loosening is protected – raising or removing a limit (default 24 hours) and ending self-exclusion (default 48 hours) need an emailed confirmation followed by a waiting period
No early exits – cooling-off can’t be cancelled, self-exclusion can’t end before its minimum term, and permanent self-exclusion can only be lifted by your support team
