Refund requests can be initiated by customers through the support system linked to each product. When a request is submitted, the seller will receive a notification and can respond to the customer within the ticket thread.
Before issuing a refund, sellers are expected to review the request in detail and make a reasonable effort to resolve the customer’s issue. This may include offering technical support, providing clarification, or addressing any misunderstandings regarding the product’s functionality.
Sellers should process refund decisions in a timely and professional manner. If a refund is granted, the seller can initiate the refund from the order details screen in the WPBay vendor dashboard. Once issued, the refund is processed through the original payment method, and the customer will receive confirmation.
Refunds should generally be granted under the following conditions:
- The product does not function as described, and the issue cannot be resolved.
- The customer purchased the product by mistake and has not used or downloaded it.
- The product is incompatible with the customer’s WordPress environment and cannot be reasonably adapted.
Refunds may be denied if:
- The customer changed their mind after purchase.
- The product was downloaded and used extensively.
- The product functions as described but does not meet subjective expectations.
Sellers are encouraged to be fair and transparent in their handling of refund requests. Maintaining a positive customer experience can result in long-term trust and repeat business, even in cases where a refund is necessary.
In cases of dispute or if the customer escalates the issue, WPBay may review the case and issue a decision in accordance with platform policy. Sellers who fail to address refund requests or who issue refunds in bad faith may be subject to account review.
