Password Protect Any Page is a lightweight WordPress plugin that allows you to password-protect any post, page, or custom post type using a custom password field.

This plugin offers full-page protection — not just content — ensuring even Elementor, Bricks, Gutenberg, and Oxygen layouts remain hidden until the correct password is entered.

Installation

Go to Plugins > Add New. (https://yoursite.com/wp-admin/plugins.php)
Click Upload Plugin and choose the ZIP file.
Install and activate the plugin.
You’re ready to protect any post or page!

How It Works

After activation, a “Password Protect” meta box will appear on the editor screen of any public post type (including posts, pages, and CPTs).

Enter a password in this field and update/publish the post.

When visitors try to access this page, they’ll see a password form.

Upon entering the correct password, a cookie is set in the visitor’s browser to allow access for 2 hours.

Usage Instructions

Go to any post, page, or custom post type (e.g., Portfolio).
In the editor (classic or block), look for the Password Protect panel (usually in the sidebar or below content).
Enter the desired password in the field.
Save or update the page.
Visit the page — it now displays a password form until the correct password is entered.

Builder Compatibility

This plugin is tested and compatible with:

Gutenberg
Elementor
Bricks Builder
Oxygen Builder

Because the plugin blocks the entire page at template_redirect, builder-specific content is completely hidden unless the correct password is submitted.
