Yes. WPBay collects value-added tax (VAT), goods and services tax (GST), and other applicable sales taxes on digital product sales, where required by law. This applies primarily to purchases made by customers located in regions that enforce tax regulations on electronically supplied services, including but not limited to the European Union, the United Kingdom, and certain U.S. states.

The appropriate tax is automatically calculated during checkout based on the buyer’s billing address and applicable tax rules for their region. If a valid VAT ID or business exemption certificate is provided during checkout (where supported), the tax amount may be adjusted or removed in accordance with local regulations.

All tax collected by WPBay is remitted directly to the relevant tax authorities. Sellers do not need to calculate, collect, or remit VAT or sales tax on their own for sales made through WPBay. The price you set for your product is considered the pre-tax amount, and WPBay will add and collect the appropriate tax at checkout.

Each customer receives a tax-compliant invoice that reflects the tax charged, if any. These invoices are automatically generated and available in the customer’s account.

Sellers receive earnings net of taxes and platform fees. Detailed reporting is available in the WPBay vendor dashboard for accounting and tax purposes. WPBay does not withhold income tax or file tax returns on behalf of sellers, who remain responsible for reporting their earnings in accordance with local tax laws.
