Hours, Holidays & Buffers
Control exactly when you can be booked
Weekly hours
On the Availability tab, add one or more time ranges for each day - for example 9:00 - 12:30 and 13:30 - 17:00 to take a lunch break. Days with no hours are closed. For day and night bookings, any hours simply mark the day as open.
Holidays and special dates
Add a date rule for one day or a range:
- Closed / unavailable with no hours - closed all day (holidays, maintenance).
- Closed / unavailable with hours - only those hours are blocked (e.g. a 14:00 - 15:00 meeting).
- Open with special hours - replaces the usual hours for those dates (e.g. late opening, or opening on a Sunday).
To close the whole store on certain days, add them under Bookings > Settings > Closed dates, one date or 2026-12-24 - 2026-12-26 range per line.
Buffer between bookings
Keeps time free between bookings for cleaning, travel or preparation. With a 15 minute buffer, a booking at 10:00 - 11:00 also blocks 11:00 - 11:15 and 9:45 - 10:00, so the next booking can start at 11:15 at the earliest. Buffers can be up to 1440 minutes (time slots) or 30 days (day and night bookings).
On a staff member or resource shared between products, the longer buffer of the two bookings applies. So if a massage has a 30 minute clean-up and a consultation has none, a consultation can't start in the 30 minutes after a massage with the same therapist either.
Holding times during checkout
As soon as a customer clicks Book now, the time is held for them while they check out (20 minutes by default - change it under Bookings > Settings). Nobody else can take it in the meantime. If they abandon their cart, the hold runs out and the time becomes free again. Every booking is checked under a database lock, so two customers clicking at the same moment can never both get the last space.
