Setup Checklist

  1. Set Your Support Email

Go to YetiAware > Settings > General and enter the Support Contact Email. It's included in every email customers receive from YetiAware.

  2. Set Up the Checkout Confirmation

On the Checkout Confirmation tab, check the checkbox wording and enter the URL of your terms / 18+ page.

  3. Review the Waiting Periods

On the Timing Rules tab, the defaults are 24 hours for limit increases and 48 hours for ending self-exclusion. These are in line with common UK practice.

  4. Personalise the Responsible Gaming Page

Go to Pages and edit Responsible Gaming. Review the wording, add your contact page if you have one, and check the support organisations suit the countries you trade in.

  5. Link to It

Add the Responsible Gaming page to your footer menu so customers can always find it.

  6. Test It

Log in as a test customer, go to My Account > Responsible Gaming, set a small daily limit and try to buy something over it. You should see an error and be unable to check out.

Guest Checkout is Switched Off Automatically

YetiAware's limits and breaks are tied to customer accounts, so while YetiAware is enabled it turns off guest checkout on both the classic and Blocks checkouts. Customers must log in, or an account is created for them at checkout. WooCommerce refuses to create a second account for an email that's already registered, so a restricted customer can't log out and buy as a guest with the same email. Your WooCommerce guest checkout setting is restored automatically if you disable YetiAware.
