Installation Guide
Get YetiAware up and running on your WordPress site
Before You Begin
Make sure your site meets these requirements:
- WordPress: Version 5.8 or higher
- WooCommerce: Version 5.0 or higher (must be installed and activated)
- PHP: Version 7.4 or higher
Important: WooCommerce Required
YetiAware requires WooCommerce. If WooCommerce isn't active you'll see an error notice in your dashboard and none of the YetiAware features will run.
Installation Steps

Download the Plugin
Download the
yetiaware.zipfile. -
Upload to WordPress
Go to Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin. Click "Choose File", select
yetiaware.zip, then click "Install Now". -
Activate the Plugin
Click "Activate Plugin". A new YetiAware menu (shield icon) appears in your dashboard.

Configure Settings
Go to YetiAware > Settings and follow the Quick Start Guide.
Manual Installation (FTP)
- Unzip
yetiaware.zipon your computer - Upload the
YetiAwarefolder to/wp-content/plugins/on your server - Activate the plugin through the 'Plugins' menu in WordPress
What Happens on Activation
- Three database tables are created: spend limits, breaks (cooling-off and self-exclusion) and the audit log
- Default settings are saved
- A published Responsible Gaming page is created at
/responsible-gaming/(skipped if a page with that address already exists) - A Responsible Gaming tab is added to the WooCommerce My Account menu
- An hourly scheduled task is set up to apply confirmed changes once their waiting period ends
No manual database configuration is required.
Deactivating
Deactivating stops the hourly task. Your customers' limits, breaks and audit log are kept in the database, so everything is still there if you reactivate.
